the anatomy of fear.

fear marketing (also called terror marketing) is a very effective form of marketing in this article i will fokus on 5 forms of fear that the bluechip companies are using against us everyday.

the fear of the unknown.
the fear of the unknown has always been a big part of most human minds.
And can easily be used against you, the way they're doing this is to create an outer enemy.
For an instance Coca Cola Zero, used this fear in they're marketing.
and even though several studies have proved that aspartame is more fattening than sugar, and it gives brain damage and cancer, most people started believing that it was somehow better then sugared cola.
and the reason why they did this, was because people thought that they didn't know the long term effects of sugar.
an exelent example of the fear of the unknown in marketing use.

the fear of major financial damages.
i remember once seeing, an add for norton internet security, and in this particular add it said something about, some women who used her computer for emailing and online banking purposes only.
now that might be hacker safe you're thinking right?
well allow me to say wrong.
because one day they had an update to internet explorer at her work.
and she went home to check it, and accidently landed on the wrong page and got her computer infected by some keylogger, and next thing when she signed in, her bank account was emptied.
So she acquired a license for norton internet security, and never had to fear again.
Now thats damn brilliant marketing i mean playing on people's fear of losing money.

the fear of death.
i ain't gonna write anything about this, its just to powerfull.
